Another amazing design by Tinker Hatfield! Air Jordan 5 just continued to bring already growing fame to the Air Jordan community! This model was the first one to appear in the 90' and it arrived at the beginning of the 1990! The model is similar to the Air Jordan IV model that is one of the most successful models of the Air Jordan family. A reflective tongue is the first detail you will see on this amazing pair of sneakers. The soles of the shoe gave it a larger look which fans loved. Still, these soles were the problem of the shoes that fans did not quite like. Because of the material used for soles, the shoes went yellowish after several months because of the moisture that was gathering after wearing the during the rainy or snowy days! It is believed that the inspiration for this model came to Tinker Hatfield from the World War II fighting air crafts which could be seen in the shark like details on the front of the sneakers. The shoes were introduced in many different colorways and they were retro-ed in 2000, 2006, 2007, 2008. 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
